Kara-ageh Tofu

1pkg. Kara-ageh ko (seasoned breading mix)
3 tofu (6 oz.)
2 cups dashi (soup stock)
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. mirin
4 Tbsp. Katsuo Bushi (dried Bonito tuna fish flakes)
4 Tbsp. chooped green onions

Drain the tofu and pat dry. Cut tofu into 1" cubes. Coat tofu with Kara-ageh ko and deep fry at 350 degrees for about 1 minute (until lightly browned on all sides). Remove and drain oil off the tofu. Bring dashi to a full boil. Add sugar, salt, soy sauce and mirin. Place tofu in bowls, sprinkle the green onions and katsuo bushi on top and pour the seasoned dashi on top. Serves 4.
